Template Builder (highlight)
Transform your static document templates into dynamic quotes, offers, and agreements that automatically populate with Salesforce data. Getting started is as simple as pasting the text from your existing template directly into the Template Builder. From there, you can browse your Salesforce data side-by-side with the editor and drag and drop merge fields—like Company Name—right into the text. You can also add variables to automatically pull in details like today’s date, document name, or selected language, and then apply custom styles to keep your finalized documents perfectly on-brand.
To make your templates even more powerful, the builder offers several advanced configuration options:
- Editable Sections: Define exactly which parts of the document end-users are allowed to edit.
- Pricing Tables: Insert tables that automatically display data from the selected Opportunity record, such as product names, quantities, and prices.
- Conditional Content: Configure specific content to appear only when certain conditions are met, like showing a 30-day validity statement if the quote total is $50,000 or less.
- Clause Library: Insert pre-defined, centrally managed clauses for repetitive text rather than adding it manually to each template.
Once your template is configured, you can fully test it within the Template Builder to review the compiled document with all live data, styling, and formatting applied. You can also customize the email that will deliver the document by setting up recipients, subjects, and email content. If you need to troubleshoot at any point, simply enable the Debug View to easily trace where your data is coming from and resolve any issues.
